Denna Erickson

Denna works with oil and cold wax on wood. Her work is filled with personal symbols reflecting past and present memories. Her work is layered with glazes of soft color and reflective light. A sense of calm and peace is a central theme in her work.

Denna was born in Edmonton, Alberta. She studied at Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts and has also attained a Bachelor of Education from the University of Victoria in 1997. She has been teaching and working as an artist in the city of Vancouver for the past 25 years. Denna is now showing her work across Canada.
