Painting and photography have been the focus of my creative practice since studying at Emily Carr University of Art + Design. I seek to capture urban life’s energy, patterns colour, and identity through paintings and photographs which explore a city’s distinctive features. Vancouver’s glass structures and Paris’ panoramas are current focuses of my work. Visual explorations of both cities reveal their respective, intricate complexity and their constant animation due to diversity and change. Along with co-curating an exhibition of 18 female artists entitled “How Nice to Have a Hobby” (2014) I attended the Finnish artist residency, AARK.fi, then roamed Paris (2018) seeking inspiration for my current body of work. I have completed studies at Emily Carr University of Art + Design (BFA), Visual Arts and Applied Linguistics (MA), Concordia University, as well as French (BA) and Education (Professional Teacher Certificate) at Simon Fraser University. I am proud and happy to have taught in the public school system of British Columbia
