During the covid 19 pandemic, Claire began exploring the world of digital art including NFTs. Her latest series of work deconstructs her primary motifs, still life and florals, into their most basic shapes. The work is created using digital painting technologies, then translated onto paper as unique works.
Claire Sower is a contemporary artist inspired by the painters Claude Monet, Bernard Cathelin, Nicholas De Stael, and David Hockney among others. Her work is bold, colorful, and unapologetically joyful. Largely self-taught, she has worked primarily in oil and acrylic paints for over a decade.
Claire’s work is held in private collections in Canada, the USA, and the UK, as well as the VGH-UBC Hospital Foundation and the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation in Vancouver. NFTs available through MuseumIO on Opensea in conjunction with Laguna Art, in California.
